Since 2011 he has worked in International Development largely with

served as COO and, part of that time, as interim CEO of Food for the
Hungry an international organization working to end poverty in hard places
around the world.
Retiring for the first time in 2009 after 30 years in the Air Force, Ed served
most of his career as a Logistics Officer. His last 10 years involved working
in key jobs in the Joint community where he led efforts and worked with
others to help the services improve and transform the way they deploy,
employ and sustain forces. He is a gifted teacher and facilitator and has

45 years. His passion is to help individuals, teams and organizations
develop their full God-given capacity to elevate others to the glory of God.
In 2017, as part of his transition plan, Ed completed a PhD in Organizational
Leadership from Regent University. Using the Christian gospels as a
primary data source, his dissertation examined Jesus’ life and work
exploring the nature of leadership for human flourishing in a global
community. He also holds a Master of Divinity from Western Seminary. He
and his wife Joy have been married 46 years; they have 3 daughters, 2
sons-in-law, and four grandchildren. Their three granddaughters and one
grandson love to call them “Mamaw” and “Papaw.” After moving 19 times in
their married life, they have put down roots in Newberg, OR.
